What we collect

When you book a ticket we collect your name, email address, phone number and (optionally) city so we can confirm your booking and contact you about the event.

When you contact us or subscribe to the newsletter we collect the details you choose to share.

How we use it

Only to deliver the service you asked for: confirming bookings, sending event information, replying to messages and — if you opted in — sending our newsletter.

We never sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Community safety

We understand that visibility carries risk in parts of our region. We do not publish attendee lists, we share precise venue details with ticket holders only, and you may book using a chosen name.

Photography at events is consent-based. You can ask any photographer or team member not to be photographed.

Storage & security

Booking data is stored securely and kept only as long as needed to run the event and meet legal obligations. Payment details are handled by our payment partners and never stored on our systems.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting hello@afroqueer.africa.
